We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. – Winston Churchill

Giving back to the local community in which we work is a big mission for our team. Since 2012, the Sarah Leonard Team has launched campaigns to help raise money, collect items, and give service to local charities, groups, and children’s sport teams.

Starting in 2014, our team has been partnering with Food for Greater Elgin, a wonderful food pantry that services the surrounding towns. As a tradition, we volunteer together before the holidays ~ It is one of our favorite things to do together as a team. We also enjoy finding local animal shelters to help out, as all of us are pet lovers!

Our team also hosts a coat drive for our past clients, and for the local communities we work with. The warm weather items we are able to collect are donated to the Fire Department, who then distributes them to schools and shelters in the area, along with Candy’s Coats, who helps makes sure no one goes cold from the suburbs to Chicago. The success of the SLT Coat Drive was more than we could have wished for, receiving over 200 items each year.

Helping raise not only funds, but awareness for these hard-working charities is very rewarding and is something our team has become passionate about.
