Colfax is a village in McLean County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,061 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Bloomington–Normal Metropolitan Statistical Area.The journalist and Northwestern University professor Elmo Scott Watson was born in Colfax in 1892.
